Like all CompTIA certifications, Network + is independent of the supplier. This means that the basics learned and demonstrated can be applied to a variety of IT products and solutions.
Some comparable certifications include Microsoft MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) / Network Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate, Routing and Switching) and Cisco CCENT (Certified Cisco Entry Network Technician). Of these three, MTA / Networking Fundamentals and CCENT require no experience, while CCNA requires at least one or three years.
Like the Network + certificate, CCNA is based on the responsibilities of a network-related order, but CCNA is specific to Cisco products, while Network + applies to all vendor products and solutions. The other two certifications, MTA and CCENT, are not based on the professional role and represent an introduction to the network offerings of the respective supplier.
Is it worth it with Network + certification?
If you are looking to build your online career and want to learn the basics, Network + is for you. Given that there are not many other certificates in this entry-level niche, CompTIA certification is worth the time, money and effort for those who need a boost early in their career to become even more marketable and competitive. if it is important to remember, certification does not necessarily mean a higher salary.
Although Network+ does not replace practical experience, it offers an in-depth understanding of network principles and a vision of some of the current network problems, such as: B. Security, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. It is also a good preparation for more advanced CompTIA exams and manufacturer specific certifications such as CCNA.
