Designing functional networks

Advanced Network Engineers work with Web Designers to design and build functional networks from scratch based on the specific needs of the employer.

Download and install network and software

With their knowledge of communication protocols and pathways, experienced web engineers ensure that all network machines communicate properly. They are also responsible for installing and updating network security software.

Monitor network performance

While major network engineers spend a lot of time extinguishing a fire, they are constantly monitoring the performance of the network to try to catch that fire before it happens.

Create and implement network security measures

The network security protocol was created and implemented by the senior web engineer. This includes designing and monitoring things like user access levels, data access history, and other security related issues.

Assign network maintenance tasks

Most network maintenance tasks can be delegated to an IT technician or small network engineer.

Provide CTO network status reports

Senior network engineers have regular contact with the technical director. They should create and present regular reports at weekly meetings.
